This includes a package of supporting business measures including:

The Coronavirus Job Retention Scheme is available to all UK employers with a PAYE scheme and will support businesses with paying their employees’ salary for those who would otherwise be laid off without pay during this crisis.

Businesses with fewer than 250 employees would be able to claim Statutory Sick Pay (SSP) from the Government for those people who are affected by COVID-19.

The Government has announced that they will support businesses by deferring VAT and Tax payments.

The government will provide small business grant scheme funding for local authorities to support small businesses that pay little or no business rates.

There is a business rates holiday for the 2020-21 tax year, as well as cash grants, for retail, leisure and hospitality businesses.
